Today was the amazing Capital High School Senior Parade and College and Career Committment Day! Our graduating seniors walked through the halls of our feeder schools in their caps and gowns, high-fiving the younger students and reconnecting with their old teachers. They finished the parade on the football field, with schools and organizations across New Mexico to discuss their future. A special thanks to Gear Up for all the amazing work they do to put on such an engaging event for our students! The parade was a beautiful celebration of the achievements of these amazing students, and a tribute to the incredible educators and role models who have supported them throughout their academic journey. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of community and the incredible impact that we can have on each other's lives. As we watched the graduating seniors walk through the halls, we saw the looks of pride and admiration on the faces of the younger students. It was a beautiful reminder that these graduating seniors were once in their shoes and that they too can achieve great things with hard work and dedication. We are so grateful to the incredible teachers, staff members and community members who have supported these students throughout their academic journey. We are proud of each and every one of our graduating seniors, and we know that they will go on to do incredible things in the future.

Multiple school districts throughout the state have received social media threats against schools. SFPS and SFPD are taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety at our schools. The City of Santa Fe and SFPD are working directly with the FBI on the threat, which appears to be a hoax. There is no immediate threat towards any SFPS school.
