We love our Firebirds

Good evening families,
Let's help our kids finish strong!  We are almost to the finish line.  Now is the time to dig in, make sure all assignments are complete and to be actively engaged at all times.  Our last day of school is right around the corner on May 26th.
If you have not completed your profile sheet, please do so this week.  Contact Miss Peggy for assistance.  We do need one for every student.  Thank you!
Be well,
Mrs. Maestas

Nuts and bolts:
  • SFPS has partnered with BrightBytes to learn more about how our community is responding to teaching and learning remotely. We want to hear how you and your child(ren) are adjusting during this unprecedented time and learn how the district can better support you. Please complete the modern learning survey
  • Please check under beds and in backpacks for library books and recorders.  These do need to be returned to school.  Thank you!
  • Last day of school:  May 26th 11am dismissal
  • For our in person families:  If your child has any covid symptoms (fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle/body aches, headache, loss of smell/taste, sore throat, congestion/runny nose, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea), they must stay home.  In order to return to in person school, they must either have a negative covid test and be symptom free for 24 hours or stay home for 10 days and be symptom free for 24 hours.  Please be sure to call into the office and let us know if your child is experiencing any symptoms.
  • We have done a great job of being covid safe and need to continue to be diligent.  Please help us keep our community healthy by reminding your child about social distancing, staying in their playground zone, washing their hands and wearing their masks properly.  We ask that families ensure that their child is wearing a child sized mask.
  • Our school day begins at 8:00 and ends at 3:00 except for Wednesdays when we dismiss at 12:40.

We ask that families drop off their children as close to 8:00 as possible.

  • I also want to remind families that if your child has been sent home due to not feeling well, they are still expected to log into their class remotely.

  • Surveillance testing for students is voluntary. Please complete the electronic  Student Surveillance Testing Form https://forms.gle/LVL6Tb2JHy3WPEkv9 ONLY if you are choosing to opt your child IN to the pool of students that may be selected for testing.

Buenas noches familias,
¡Ayudemos a nuestros niños a terminar bien!
