There will be no school for Students on Friday 4/14, 2017 for

Mid-Semester Break.  Classes resume on Monday 4/17, 2017

Spring Carnival and Silent Auction: The Spring Carnival has been cancelled.  The PTA and school made many attempts to recruit needed volunteers to assist with this and lacked response to have this free community event.

Spring Concert “Hopping and Bopping Into Spring” April 27 at 6pm. Featuring grades 3-6, plus Band, Danza Chaparral, and Special Choir. It will be great to see everyone there!

The PARCC Assessment is going very well.  Students take one session a day in the morning.  Each student in grades 3-6 can have a free breakfast.  Students are working hard and doing their personal best by reading carefully and taking their time on the assessment.

Quality of Education Survey: This annual survey is your opportunity to give feedback about our school so we can take direction when planning improvements for next year. You may take the survey online or on paper. Your student was given a card to take home with a link to the online Quality of Education Survey. We were alarmed to see many of these cards in the trash! We sent home a copy of the survey on paper. Please complete and return the paper survey or return the card to indicate that you completed the survey online. All survey input is needed by April 21st. Fill out your survey so your voice will be heard!

PBIS : (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports)  We would like to inform parents of this plan and have your input.  Please contact Coleen Korce at 467-1402 if interested.

Registration for students going into 7th grade next year:  We still have many grade 6 students needing to be registered for their 7th grade year. Registration for 7th grade for your children needs to be completed here at Chaparral.

Registration for Chaparral’s Kindergarten: So far, we only have a few children registered for kindergarten next year. Kindergarten registration is ongoing. Please inform friends, family, and neighbors.

K-3 Plus: The classes are filling up for K- 3 Plus.  Please check in the office to see if we are able to help your students going into grades K-3 take advantage of this great summer program.  Please note: The dates for this program are now June 21-July 27 (no classes July 3 and 4).
